DF.GYM is looking for a new Gym Manager to join our awesome team. The person who is going to love this position will be a friendly energetic contributor to the team, who has the ability to service our growing community of members, while building relationships & demonstrating leadership skills which will inspire & motivate others. The gym is based in a central location 5min drive from Cairns CBD, in which we offer an amazing gym culture, a free gym membership & a pathway to grow as the business expands.  

Your Role: 

• Develop & maintain member engagement campaigns 
• Facilitate a streamline channel of communication for member enquiries & problem solving
• Coordinate sales & inventory for merch, equipment, drinks & coffee
• Schedule appointments & communicate with our coaching team

Qualifications: 

• Current ‘Working with Children’ Blue Card 
• Current CPR/First Aid Certificate 
• Certificate in Management or similar (advantageous but not essential) 

Experience: 

• Previous experience in a management or administration role (experience managing in a busy hospitality environment will be highly regarded)

Skills: 

• Excellent organisation & time management 
• Excellent verbal & written communication 
• Understanding of retail sale record keeping requirements 
• Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety policies & procedures 
• Excellent computing skills using Word, Excel and Google Cal 
• Adaptability to learn our client & retail management software (Zen Planner) 
• Ability to take ownership & use initiative with minimal supervision
